Home Information Packs
A HIP is a group of documents that provides the buyer with essential
information on the property and must be provided by the seller or the
seller's agent. It is a legal requirement to provide a HIP and you can't
market your property for sale without one.
The HIP enables buyers see crucial information about the property at the start of the buying stage, without a fee to the buyer. This reduces the chance of the buyer being subjected to any surprises at the closing stage of buying the property. The HIP contributes in reducing delays and additional expense to the buyer and seller..

The HIP is made up of required (compulsory) and authorised (optional)
items.
Listed below are all the compulsory documents that need to be included.
